When a mouse “hung itself” in the refrigerator, going to the supermarket for groceries is simply inevitable. How do you like to go grocery shopping? Do you order them via the Internet or write a huge tolmut “what to buy” and go to the “Product”? When the feeling of hunger overtook you, you can spend a lot of money in the store by buying too much. Therefore, there is a danger of losing control over yourself and acquiring everything that comes across, and when you come home, remember that you forgot to buy the most important thing! How not to lose sight of the most necessary of the products that you need to buy? Of course, make a list for yourself. To facilitate this lesson and make the process of buying products in the supermarket more fun, the Avoska - Shopping List application will help. Real housewives and forgetful husbands will definitely appreciate the idea and are unlikely to argue with the fact that today it should receive the place of honor of the Application of the Day!
You come to the supermarket for milk, and you leave with an overloaded stroller and a bunch of products that were not included in the shopping plans at all. I know by myself ideal option is to make a list. Then you will save money, and you will not forget what you need.
Application Avoska - Shopping List is reliable assistant for everyone who gathered in the hypermarket for groceries. Make a list of products in minutes on your smartphone and cross off what you have already bought right in the supermarket with one hand.
A convenient service "do not forget to buy" was invented by the developers. All actions for compiling a list of products are reduced to a minimum. Start typing a product that falls into the shopping list of today's trip to the store and the application itself will offer you options for the first letters indicated. By selecting, for example, “mayonnaise” from the list, the application will prompt you to indicate how many packs you need to buy and add a comment to the entry if necessary.
Having finished with the list, the Avoska - List of products application will distribute them by departments by itself, significantly reducing the time it takes to find food in the supermarket. Putting in the basket what you found on the list, cross out from the list with one hand what you have already bought.
The application itself will sort the list of purchased items and show in the top lines what has not yet been taken from the shelves. Bright beautiful colorful design adds a little positivity to the process of going to the store.

Shopping lists are a fairly popular category of apps for the iPhone, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of them in the AppStore, and choosing among them the only one that meets all your requirements is very, very difficult. Today we will talk about one of these applications, which, in my opinion, is one of the best among its kind.
The application is called shop shop, it's free, which is surprising given its functionality. You can rarely observe such altruism of developers, usually it is quite the opposite - a weak application is sold for quite tangible money. So let's consider that we were lucky with ShopShop and consider the application in more detail.
So we're dealing with a shopping list. More precisely, with lists, because you can create as many such lists in the application as you like, one, for example, for a supermarket, another for a pharmacy, a third for a building materials store, etc. You can move between the lists by scrolling through the screens.
Working with a List
Everything is pretty simple here. To add to the list new position press the "plus" in the upper left corner, the text input field opens, and on the left a window for entering the quantity (pieces, kilograms, etc.). Enter the name and quantities, click the "Finish" button below - that's all, the position has been added to the list. After entering the position name, it remains in the application database, and in the future you will only need to type the first two or three letters, and you will see all previously entered positions that begin with these letters.
After adding all the positions to the list, we press the button with the name of our list (by default it says “Shopping List”) and we see the list we have compiled. Positions in it can be moved relative to each other by pressing and holding your finger on the icon opposite the name. The line is highlighted, you can move it.
The created list can be sent to someone by mail, if the recipient has the same application installed, he can open the finished list directly from the received letter directly in ShopShop. A very convenient function, for example, a wife can send such a list to her husband, or you can come up with a lot of other options for using this “chip”. You can also send the list via SMS, but in this case, you will not be able to open the received message in ShopShop.
In the store, when you open the application and buy products, you simply click on the lines with the names in the list, and they are crossed out. You can remove purchased products from the list by selecting the appropriate item in the menu, or simply by shaking the phone (this option is set in the settings). Very convenient, especially if you have a very long list.
Creating new lists
To create a new list, you need to click on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen and select "Add" from the menu that appears. new list". Next, enter its name, select the background color and click OK. That's it, the list has been created. As we have already said, to move between the lists, you just need to flip through the screens of the application.
Settings
In the settings, you can choose the method of deleting from the list of purchased products (shake the phone, press the checkmark button or delete using the menu), sorting method (alphabetically, by status, manually), set the number of names remembered by the application, and other functions (see. screenshots). I want to dwell on only one point - this is synchronization. If you have a Dropbox account, you can use it to synchronize lists between different devices, for example, iPhone and iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, and so on.
General conclusions
The application is very easy to use, it is not overloaded with functions and features, it is logical to operate and looks good. We sincerely recommend trying it, especially since you do not need to pay money for it.
Perhaps, during a trip to the store, many people have a question about how not to forget to buy everything they need, and at the same time not to collect unnecessary goods. To be on the safe side, we write lists for ourselves on pieces of paper, and then diligently check them in the store. But it often happens that we forget to write down something or we have nothing to cross off already purchased goods, and then it becomes not so easy to navigate in a long list.
Fortunately, developers have created many applications for smartphones that allow you to record the necessary purchases. These programs, running on Android and iOS platforms, save us from having to keep everything in our heads. In addition, they do not let you lose sight of this or that product, because all of them are already included in the phone database, and we just have to choose the ones we need.

I usually write about photography, music, and communication apps, but today we're talking about a trip to the store. Or, to be more precise, about shopping lists.
I must say right away that until recently, this topic was alien to me. Usually, when I “raided” stores of various kinds, I did without such lists, because I remembered the “necessities” that were absent in the household, and bought everything else based on my momentary need, desire or idea. By and large, I decided what to buy right in the store. This purchase option did not bother me in the least, since I know well what a budget is, and I won’t buy anything extra. Yes, and I usually do not buy much at a time, preferring to go to the store every day and take exactly one time. This is a perennial habit of a pseudo-fresh product.
But it so happened that for the last 2 months, I was very limited in movement, so I remembered a long-forgotten method of shopping - ordering through online stores. And here, whatever one may say, little by little and often it is inconvenient to buy, and not profitable. That's when shopping lists came to me, planning ahead and e.t.c., e.t.c., e.t.c, ...
As a result, after 5-6 weeks of training, they formed a certain habit. This is probably why, while looking through the sales in AppZapp, my eyes settled on Shopping To-Do Pro.
What I noted in it is interesting:
- It is easy and convenient to create shopping lists that are visually displayed on the desktop of the program, showing the first names of the list.
- Possibility of calculation of the planned purchase. You can set the cost of the item per piece / kg, including an incomplete unit (0.5 kg or something similar), immediately receiving the cost of a particular purchase, as well as the total amount of the entire list. For a paper worm like me, who is used to a planned economy, this is a huge plus for the application. And I also note that the list has not only total, but also a subtotal.
- When one of the items is purchased, we remove it from the list by checking the box. At the same time, a pencil flies out with a nice animation and crosses out the position. And the subtotal becomes less by the amount of the purchase. Again, a plus for clarity from lovers of the language of numbers.
- The presence of a reminder function. Something also from the category of planning. You can set the exact day + time, and the application will remind you of itself with a pop-up window and sound. For me, this feature is almost useless, but the presence of reminders is not superfluous.
- Well, the last plus is just a great design. Successful stylization of a shabby notebook, nice animation. All together causes (for me) the subconscious pleasure of working with this application.
But there is something that upset:
- Lack of any synchronization. This is very bad. So I can't put the app on two (or more) different devices and coordinate your purchases with someone close or friends. There is not even an elementary possibility to send the list by e-mail. A kind of application in itself, for a very lonely person or a misanthrope. Although a closed user would probably like to be able to synchronize at least with his computer.
- There are absolutely no settings. Looking into the settings you will find only a small window for entering the tax. In our penates, the thing is useless.
That's actually all. On this moment the application is distributed free of charge, but during the normal period its price is only $0.99.
However, having decided to look for something alternative to Shopping To-Do Pro, I went through several paid and free apps and I liked ShopShop — Shopping List
What's good about it:
- Unlike Shoping To-Do, in ShopShop we have good synchronization options: via dropbox, as well as sending a list by e-mail and sms. Plus, the list can be sent to a printer. And what is convenient: if some positions are already “crossed out from the list”, in the sent message, they will be “ticked” opposite them.
- Purchased items are crossed out with a flick of a finger or a tap. After that, they can be cleaned from the list by shaking the iPhone (set in the settings)
- Decent, for such an application, settings (again, in the reproach of Shopping To-Do), where you can set auto-lock, enable or disable synchronization, font size, number of saved entries and other minor needs.
- Shopping lists are implemented as iPhone desktops, flipped through in the traditional way for the device. Each list can be given personal name and color.
- Availability of the Russian version
Well, now a little about the cons of the application:
- There is no possibility to enter a price for a position, and accordingly there is no amount. So the list is just a normal list, no calculation.
- Office design, flat, boring. Although everything is organized clearly, simply and conveniently, it is somehow sad for me to use it.
I compared two shopping list apps. In fact, there are dozens of such applications. About some (such as "Buy a loaf" and "Shopping") they wrote and talked a lot. We all (including me) still do not know about some. But even judging by these two, we see a variety of functionality and appearance, a choice for every taste. There is imperfection in both.
Well, as always, the choice is yours.
