How to enable reading mode in the browser
Hi all! Most of our contemporaries draw information from the Internet. And if you have firmly decided to become a blogger, then you will have to constantly extract more and more new knowledge for yourself on the Internet. To make your work easier, today I will talk about how to enable reading mode in the browser. This mode will not only make your reading comfortable, but will also protect your eyesight.
For clarity, I took a screenshot of a fragment of one of my articles. This is what it looks like when viewed normally in a browser window.
And this is how it is already displayed when the reading mode is on. As you can see, as the text and images get larger, the sidebar is no longer displayed. In fact, the information that is really needed remains.
To be able to do this, you just need to add a special extension to your browser called Reader Mode. This is an official extension from the Chrome Web Store. There you are direct link to installation page .
Just click on the "Install" button and the automatic installation process will begin. In this case, the browser will ask you for additional permission to install. You just have to agree - click the "Install extension" button.
In just a couple of seconds, the installation will complete. You will see a window like this notifying you that the extension has been added to Chrome.
And next to the search bar of the browser you will see an icon in the form of glasses.
This is the treasured button to turn on the reading mode. Now, by clicking on it, you can easily translate any site that has a sidebar on the page into a mode convenient for you.
The Reader Mode extension in question can work in any browser based on the Chromium engine. Naturally, it will work directly in Google Chrome, similarly in Yandex browser and other similar browsers. For example, in the Vivaldi browser.
In order not to rack your brains on how to install it in a particular browser, just open this article in it and follow the installation link.
If your favorite browser is Mozilla Firefox, then you are a bit out of luck. It does not support this possibility. Although it can also be switched to reading mode, this will require special knowledge. You can search for a solution yourself on the Internet. I wrote this article for beginners, who find it much easier to install the extension.
So read for pleasure and benefit. And if you still have any questions, then ask them in the comments.
